Waldheim Heslach in Stuttgart

It's beautiful in the Waldheim Heslach. We had short waiting times (despite the weekend and many visitors) and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and everything was well organized. Only when returning dishes would have to be cleared a little faster. You can always find a cozy and quiet place on the spacious grounds and can easily spend several hours there.

Due to Corona, pickup was unfortunately only possible, but we want to support the hosts in the area as much as possible. Unfortunately we were more than disappointed by the Waldheim team! The burger ordered was still almost raw inside, the potato salad with the Maultaschen was nothing special. And first of all the Maultaschen, they didn't taste good, they were just underground! No comparison to the Maultaschen from its predecessor! Sorry about the beer garden, which is beautiful in summer, but we won't do that to ourselves again. We used to be regulars there. As I said, were!

Kudos to the Waldheim team: we ordered goose legs for delivery today. Everything was delivered hot and on time, the legs were very tender, the dumplings delicious, red cabbage and sauce great. It tasted very good, gladly again

Since the makeover and takeover by new owners, it is now a very nice destination or local recreation area. Self-service as in most beer gardens, changing weekly menu, good food & a large selection of drinks.

We organized a small family celebration in the Waldheim Heslach. It was wonderful. Very well organized, very attentive and friendly service, and incredibly delicious food! Many Thanks!

When the evening sun goes down, Waldheim Heslach is a good place in town.

A very nice place for family celebrations, for a relaxing family outing, than between stopping while hiking or going for a walk. A large playground with table tennis tables offers everything for those who need exercise and there is enough space inside and outside for everyone else.

This Waldheim is just wonderful! For kids, not kids. For really hungry people, for those with a thirst for coffee. For those who want to sit in the country or on a terrace. The food is delicious, of high quality and also nice to look at. The coffee tastes good too. The large vegetarian menu is especially great. We are very happy to be there, with or without a child and will be back very soon!

The Waldheim Heslach is a place where you can relax with your family! We didn't choose to celebrate our wedding here by accident! We were very responsive to our wishes and needs, thank you very much for everything!

We were invited to a wedding there and it was wonderful. Super nice location, good food and very cozy. There is a great playground for the children! Gladly again!

Visited twice in the last 3 weeks. Prices completely overpriced ... see pre-posters. None of us were satisfied with the food ...... worst potato salad according to one friend for a long time ...... bad tasting salads, was the dressing ??? According to another friend about the battle plate, everything is ok. BUT the fried potatoes HARD. Unfriendly staff at the counter ....... Is that a shame ....... I always liked to visit this Waldheim ..... lived 24 years in Heslach ...... the operators at the time were simply better in the rustic offer, including simple dishes. .... and NOT OVERPRICE ...... it's a garden restaurant and the food is picked up by yourself ....... Lots of AIR TO THE TOP .... unfortunately ..... with a very nice atmosphere

Visit and sit with family, friends, or both. Outdoor seating, playground, no cars. Everything is delicious, the menu is varied. Good selection of drinks.

Was the last time here probably 45 years ago! The beer garden is very nice and idyllic in the forest. Easily accessible on foot and by car. Big plus: toilets suitable for the disabled. Everything was very clean and the staff was very nice. Self-service with numbered beeper. Works very well. Extensive menu something for everyone. Food very tasty 😋 and good portion. Nice large children's playground and table tennis table. To relax there is a corner with deck chairs. Will be back soon, not in 45 years ...

High quality food and the side salads were also very rich and varied. Dessert (cake, apple strudel) also TOP! Waiting time for the food adequate, very friendly staff. A dream for parents, the great playground on the premises. Then we went for a walk in the forest! We will be back!!!

We have been going here for family celebrations for over 20 years. After the change of tenant, not much has changed for me except the prices. Unfortunately for me they are very high. You get very large portions for this. The menu is varied and stocked with vegan dishes. Drinks too expensive unfortunately. 4.20 for 0.5 liters of apple juice spritzer. Unfortunately, that's too much for a family outing. Are probably Stuttgart prices The fries were fried too short. It was a rainy day so it couldn't have been the number of guests. The kitchen and the serving point were changed and there was a beeper for ordering food when the food is ready. It used to be number tables. It's okay, he's moving with the times.

Beautifully located beer garden with enough space in the sun and lots of places in the shade under fruit trees. The mood is pleasantly relaxed, even with a lot of crowds at the weekend. The new menu is diverse and our dishes were delicious. We think the prices are okay, the staff are friendly We cannot understand the partly negative reviews after the reopening. It should be clear that the new owner has to get used to it on the first weekend. On our second visit a few days later it was a bit more organized than at the beginning. We like to come regularly in the future. :-)

I like it with my kids

Nice beer garden with a great playground for the little ones. Many shady places, generously laid out. But the prices are completely overpriced. 0.5l wheat beer Euro 4.20, the mini portion of French fries Euro 3.80. Mind you: We are talking about a self-service Waldheim !! One would think that this would not attract families with children, but the number of visitors unfortunately says otherwise. In any case, we do not come here anymore and do not recommend this excursion among our friends!

Very nice garden, Essen OK, if you get food after a long wait. Unfortunately too little staff for too many guests. Sundays when the weather is nice, at least 40 minutes waiting until you get something to drink in line. Warm food takes about 70 minutes. More staff has to be deployed.

Unfortunately, much too expensive after the conversion. To request in a Waldheim € 3.50 for 1/2 liter of mineral water and € 4.20 for half a beer ?! It is cheaper in the city center and you are served. It's a shame, I always loved going there when I was a child. Fortunately, there are enough beautiful beer gardens in and around Stuttgart.

The food in here is fantastic! Being there outdoor in a sunny day while on a lunch break from work, was priceless. The only thing that troubled the experience was the long wait for the food to be ready, but the boards indicating our turn were helpful and saved us few trips to the counter to ask about it. Plus considering the big wave of people, which were having lunch at the same time, for sure did not make it easy for the kitchen staff. Another reason to recommend the place is the relatively spacious parking spot and the kids corner! Definitely a family friendly place.
